- Share concrete experience. "I think it works like this" is far weaker than "I went through this exact situation, on this ship, with this company."
- Be patient with newcomers. Everyone started somewhere — a question from a cadet or someone about to join their first ship might feel basic to you, but it matters to them.
- Keep the tone respectful. Different opinions are fine to debate, but personal attacks that sour the forum's atmosphere get removed by moderation.
