Who can see your CV?
- Your CV is shown to companies that post seafarer jobs and have been approved by Faroys. Companies are checked at registration with details such as a tax number or IMO number, to keep fake companies out.
- Adding your phone, email or address is your choice. Only your name, email and rank are mandatory.
- Apart from public content such as forum posts, your profile details are not public.
Staying safe with maritime jobs
- If someone asks you for a fee for a seafarer job, this breaks Faroys' principles. Report the listing with the "Report" button.
- Do not share copies of your passport or seaman's book before you are sure the employer is genuine.
- If you see a suspicious company or maritime job, tell us; solidarity starts with protecting each other.

Your data protection rights
Under Turkish data protection law (KVKK), you have the right to:
- learn whether your data is processed and request information,
- ask for incorrect data to be corrected,
- ask for your data to be deleted,
- object to unlawful processing.

If you want to delete your account
When you request deletion in account settings, your account becomes hidden from everyone immediately; unless you cancel the request, it is permanently deleted or anonymized within 30 days.
