If you're on an ongoing contract, don't leave the end date blank — mark it "Currently Serving," since companies filter by availability date.
Certificates: keep expired ones current
Our system sends you a reminder 90 days before a certificate expires — take it seriously. A candidate with an expired STCW certificate can fall behind in search results; some companies filter specifically for "valid certificate" status.
Short bio
A two-to-three sentence summary — which vessel type you specialize in, what trading areas you've worked, which languages you speak — lets a company get to know you before diving into the details. Don't leave this blank.
